Perfect Pineapple Update on COVID-19

Effective May 15, 2021, fully vaccinated visitors arriving to the British Virgin Islands will only be required to quarantine until their arrival test results are received (typically 24 to 48 hours). There are several scenarios visitors can expect upon arrival to the British Virgin Islands. As a result of the various traveler requirements that must be fulfilled within each scenario, Perfect Pineapple Inn recommends the following minimum length of stay so that guests can enjoy a portion of their time in the BVI outside of quarantine

  • Fully Vaccinated travelers: 5-night minimum length of stay
  • Partially Vaccinated travelers: 6-night minimum length of stay

As a general rule for the territory, masks are required indoors, in public spaces, and in crowded areas at all times.

Test to Leave the BVI

Visitors will need a COVID-19 PCR test before they leave to enter the USVI, Puerto Rico, or another Caribbean country by air or vessel. The cost is USD80 per test. The pre-departure test can be booked through the app, or when given your Day 4 test. Note: The government will not allow a visitor to leave the country if they test positive. They will need to quarantine in an approved location for 14 days at their expense.

For visitors traveling back to the United States, the CDC requires a test to be taken no more than 72 hours prior to re-entry. Proof of a negative result, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19, must be provided to the airline prior to boarding.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
